We have a travertine patio and went with the coating and nano non slip beads and are so grateful we spent the extra money. The pavers need to be clean of any debris and free from any other substances on their surface, so a good powerwash might be a good idea before applying the sealer. We have not yet tested the non-slip coating after getting out of the pool, but it's very similar to a medium-grit sandpaper so I have no doubt that it will not be slippery at all.
